Conservation Works has completed the management plan for the 430-acre Lampson Brook Farm in Belchertown, and DCAMM (the state Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance) has approved the plans and is in the process of giving a go-ahead to the new Lampson Brook Farm Board to issue Requests for Proposals for potential new owners of the various sections of the farm. To fashion the plan, CW conducted extensive on-the-ground studies of the property’s farms and fields and assembled more than 100 pages of text and maps in cooperation with the Lampson Brook Farm Board, New England Small Farm Institute, the Chief Cheryll Holley of the Hassanamisco Band of Nipmuc Indians, architectural advisors, farms, Town officials and others.
