Magdalena is an experienced climate advocate and conservationist with over a decade of expertise in local and regional planning, community engagement, project management and environmental justice advocacy. As a thought leader in community-led coastal resilience-building, she specializes in building equity-centered partnerships and ensuring that the lived experiences of communities most impacted remain central to project outcomes.

In addition to her work in climate resilience, she is an experienced non-profit leader with an educational background in international development and human rights. She is MACC and WEDG certified, an associate conservation commissioner in her town, an appointed member of the Advisory Committee to the Administrative Council on Toxics Use Reduction (TURA), certified interpreter, and is fully fluent in 3 languages, with semi-fluency in 3 additional foreign languages. As central to her environmental work, she employs a high use of multicultural sensitivity gained from live/study abroad experiences in South America, North & East Africa as well as working in coastally-based urban neighborhoods of Metro-NYC and the Boston area
