We believe land management must be suited to the ecological needs of the plants and animals that live there, and the cultural practices of the people using the land.
Good stewardship is inherent in almost all aspects of our work. From the initial documentation of resources to on-the-ground management steps, Conservation Works provides clients with a broad range of services that help them understand and maintain their property sustainably.
Identifying, clearing and marking property boundaries.
Locating, documenting, and GPS-mapping of boundary lines, corners, and monuments from available surveys and other records.
We assist in the identification and resolution of encroachments, trespass, and conservation restriction violations
Expert photographing of landscape features, habitat, wetland resources, scenery, wildlife, birdlife, and flora for electronic or print reproduction.
Conservation Works now uses a versatile drone with a high-resolution camera for video and still shots of conservation properties, inland wetlands, salt marshes, rivers, pond, boundaries, and other features. Drone shots can be useful in monitoring changes over time.
