To replace nearly 500 feet of old boardwalk in the Norcross Wildlife Foundation’s beautiful wildflower sanctuary, Conservation Works employed a new design that uses marine dock hardware. The new bridging makes use of rough-cut white oak heartwood lumber for the stringers and decking is not in contact with the ground and is predicted to last for decades. Dick designed the structure and assembled a skilled team to do the work under the watchful eye of Leslie Duthey and other Norcross staff.

Sustainable Trail Design & Construction Plans

We have experience developing trails that span a wide range of usages, from handicapped accessible trails to challenging single track.

New Construction & Restoration

Implementing new sustainable trails, including clearing designated trail routes, cutting benches, and building bridges, boardwalks and other structures. We can also upgrade existing trails to address flooding, erosion, and increase visitor satisfaction.
