New Agricultural Preservation Fund for Williamstown, MA

Great news for local farmland! 🌱 Williamstown voters just approved a new Agricultural Preservation Fund—starting with $25,000 from the Community Preservation Fund. The fund launches with $25,000 from the Community Preservation Fund’s Open Space & Recreation budget and is believed to be the first established under MGL Ch. 40 Sec. 8L.
Our own Sarah Gardner and chair of the Agricultural Commission calls it, “a win for farmland in town.” This is also a win for Conservation Works, strengthening our mission and our work with farmers to protect their land.
