Conservation Works assisted the Town of Lexington in crafting a new Conservation Restriction for the Lexington Town Farm, managed as “LexFarm,” a beautiful, productive, 7½-acre agricultural property that feeds hundreds of families in Lexington and surrounding towns. The CR is held by Citizens for Lexington Conservation, received the blessing of the state Division of Conservation Services, and has been successfully recorded.

Services Provided

Providing a complete range of assistance with Conservation Restrictions and in-fee title transactions, from the initial negotiations to the closing, including coordination of multiple partners, Baseline Document Reports, funding arrangements, and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Completing full Baseline Documentary Reports and carrying out property inspection and monitoring to determine initial conditions and changes or violations in property protected by conservation ownership, Conservation Restriction, or Agricultural Preservation Restriction.
